PV array location
• Determine the appropriate installation area on the roof.
• Locate and mark the rafters where the tile roof hooks will be installed
• Locate and mark the position for each tile roof hook on the appropriate span
• Remove the tile and expose the timber rafters
Installation
The first step is to uncover the roof tiles, then put the hooks on, screw the hooks firmly, and cover the tiles again.
Next, the rails and shingle hooks are attached with bolts and nuts.
Finally, the PV module is fixed with clips in the middle and at the end. If necessary, the length of the rails can be extended with rail connectors.
Note!
• Each hook must be fastened with at least 2 screws into 2 rows of the hook mounting holes.
• Screws must be fixed to the rafter
• Make sure the minimum embedment of wooden screw fit the local building code.
• (if necessary) Notch the tile with the grinder to ensure proper fit
• The roof hooks must not be pressed against the roof tile.
